How to Keep Fit During School Holidays

School holidays can be one of leisure trips to a life of inactive and unhealthy living. Watching TV for a long time, waking up late, getting off track of minimum physical exercises, junking on hot and fatty fried foods day long; seriously the list goes on.

With no basic regular activities to follow and the freedom of being in your PJs, laying of the bed and watching the latest episodes in the Netflix or Amazon Prime; simply makes you live a king’s life. Of course, it is enjoyment, but adding on pounds is not something that your kid or you need right now.

A healthy lifestyle means less fever and long life. So, what should you do to remain active and fit in this holiday season. It is simple, follow the given steps –

  • Visit a park – Have you ever thought of going to the park with your kid? It is a fun activity and a google search will display the nearby parks in your area. Try the new parks in your locality. It can be a great scenery for your kids. Bring a bike, ball or frisbee and see how your kids will enjoy without getting exhausted.
  • Plan a physical activity – Do you know the amount of engagement physical activities can be? Take your kids and their friends to a nearby riding track and let them enjoy riding bikes for few hours. Go with your neighbors to the nearby bowling alley or simple hit some shots at the tennis courts with your family and friends.
  • Walks – Nothing can be peaceful and healthy like a nice walk at night or in the day with your family. The serenity and bonding you get is priceless and really worthwhile. Even a nature-friendly picnic at a nearby park can be engaging and healthy too.

Last but not the least, besides these activities, you can make your kids sign up for sports activities like karate, tennis, skateboarding, etc which can make them active and moving.
